PROJECT: Logo Design & Invitation
CLIENT: The Sam Houston Hotel

Located in Downtown Houston, The Sam Houston Hotel is a luxury hotel just minutes from major destinations such as Minute Maid Park (go ‘Stros!) and the beautiful Discovery Green urban park. When first getting settled in Houston, The Sam was in need of a logo. After initial meetings it was determined they wanted a mark that was more on the contemporary side, while still paying homage to its namesake.

In researching General Sam Houston, the image of a feather stood out as a way to symbolize him, without being too obvious. With that in mind, this logo was designed to represent him in letterform by being an abstract “S” and symbolically with a feather shape.
