PROJECT: Logo Design
CLIENT: López Mexican Restaurant

In Houston, Mexican food is serious business. Even moreso when it's a family institution as is for the Lópezes. After opening their restaurant in 1978, the López family was more recently entering a new phase and had just finished a remodel, one that included a brand new bar, along with new hand-crafted cocktails. With this new invigoration at the restaurant, they were ready for a refresh in their branding as well.

As a lover of Mexican food (who isn’t?) I was more than happy to work on this project. For the design, I pulled inspiration from traditional Talavera tiles and incorporated a bright and bold color palette. In addition to the primary logo, two additional icons were created for miscellaneous use. The clients were thrilled and the branding worked across all platforms; a taco truck, glassware, stationery range, invites and more. ¡Ole!
